My wife and I would like to switch to a low-flow shower head. Our main motivation is to extend how long the hot water lasts in the morning. My wife and I take back-to-back showers and since she goes second, she gets ripped off of the hot water.
Anyway, we want to get a low-flow, but here is what we want:
Good shower spray: We don’t want a dribble. I understand it might be less, but we don’t want to look like Jerry, Kramer, and Newman in the low-flow Seinfeld episode.
Reasonable price: We’re not looking to spend too much. Is there a good one under $25?
A switch that switches it from low-flow to regular. This is not a need, just a want.
Anyway, I’m trying to find a good comparison of the different common brands. Consumer Reports requires you to subscribe to see theirs.
Anyone have personal experience or know where I can find a comparison list?
Low-flow shower heads are the work of the devil. My suggestion is to get a bigger hot water tank.
(I really can’t believe you’re even asking this question; seriously, I don’t know anyone who wants lower water pressure. Are you sure you’re human and not neanderthal?)
Get a tankless water heater. A bit more money than a new shower head, but you never run out of hot water again and you save money on heating water in the long run. And if you get it by the end of the year, you can get a tax rebate on it.
