Not exactly a question for the ages, but …
I’m going up to the Finger Lakes this week–but I have to work while I’m there. Anyone know if there are any free Wi-Fi hotspots in or around Geneva?

Your hotel or a hotel in general (as in the lobby)? Public wi-fi areas are getting rolled out all over the place but we are still talking a very small geographic area overall.
The library will almost certainly have all the internet connectivity you could ever want on their computers and it’s free.
See if any of these help:

Looks like there’s a cafe in Phelps, not too far away. Thanks, guys–hadn’t been able to find it (only found that jiwire site, which was less helpful).
If you’re willing to pay $10 for a daypass, you can sign up for T-Mobile hotspot access. You can then go online at any Starbucks, Fedex Kinko’s, or Borders in the area for the rest of the day. The advantage to this is that you can look up those stores at their websites and know exactly where to go online and the service is usually reliable and fast. The downside is, of course, the fact that you have to pay.
But there’s currently a 30-day free trial available.
And if you know anybody with a T-Mobile cell phone, they can get you free weekend access on the hotspot network.
