So there was this online puzzle game I used to play a long time ago and I was hoping someone could identify it for me so I could get back into it.
The “game” basically consisted of trying to find the username and password to pass on to the next “level”. The next level being the next site in a series of websites.
For instance, the first level was a picture and if you brought it into paint shop and reversed the colours the username and password was visible written in the shadows somewhere. One of the levels consisted of listening to a sound that was playing, then saving it and reversing it to hear what the information was. They kept getting harder and had you doing all sorts of things to get by.
Anyone know what I’m talking about?
I believe you’re thinking of notpron.
Or at least something very similar. I think there were a handful of sites like this a couple years ago.
I suck - stuck on level 4! :smack:
Now on 6, urgh this game is a time sink…
I’m also stuck on 6 at the moment. I’ve
found the page with the sets of three-digit numbers, but I can’t figure out what they need to be translated FROM…
ETA - my technical knowledge is so rusty. I think I’ve got it now
Just as a word of advice for any others trying this game. If you get stuck on Level 14 (ie, if you see it suggesting you restart your browser if you need to), you have to load from Level 15 to actually get anywhere. Reloading from the actual level 14 page just doesn’t work. This I figured out after an hour of frustration and turning to walkthroughs (even though I knew the answer).
