Seems pretty far fetched, but then again, you know that bitch Oprah has to be up to something.

I think the guy needs to fix his shift key.
My problem is that the “Dark Crusaders” are all easy targets. There is no little-known but highly influential black figure as a member. No great conspiracy theory is complete without the mysterious mastermind.
It’s not what’s gotten into me, it’s what’s gotten into Oprah. My seed, son!
I gave up after about 10-15 pages.
Was there ever a bottom line?
I just read the first couple of pages about how some prominent blacks didn’t like the content of the show, and then skipped ahead to the end:
It’s easy enough to fill in the blanks and come to a conclusion: This was written by a crackhead, or as a piss-take.
Actually, that “according to documents” reminds me of a common thread in the writings of schizophrenics and other delusionals, which I collect as a hobby: The appeal to a vague authority in support of completely unsupportable and outrageous claim.
Examples of this sort include my personal favourites, “Reports said that my mother Mrs. Margaret Wright’s brain is being kept in the Post Office at xxx Clark Drive.” and “Reports said that the 1923 film Scream of Stone is about my mother Mrs. Margaret Wright. I have not seen it.”
Other magic phrases used by other delusional writers include “According to other agents,” and “The goverment knows,”
Oh, I don’t think the whole thing is truthful or anything like that. But I thought that perhaps there was a grain of truth behind it - that perhaps he was receiving harassments and threats from groups who thought he was damaging race relations or something along those lines.
It’s hi-larious!
This is my favorite part:
“Nearby diners reported”?!? How the hell is this author finding his sources? He just happened to find the people that were dining near Dave, his dad and Farrakhan, and those people just happened to overhear Farrakhan threaten Dave’s dad?
BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA!
This is my favorite bit. Bolding mine.
Doo doo DOO doo doo doo DOO doo…
Wow, it’s like “A Beautiful Mind” meets “Enemy of the State” meets “The Twilight Zone”
Obviously someone is off their nut – but who that is, we aren’t quite sure of.
My bet’s on viral marketing.
I stopped reading when Chapelle woke up with Oprah sitting on his chest with a .45 to his head.
I didn’t even think of that.
Wait did that happen?
Truthfully, I didn’t either. Hoopy Frood mentioned the possibility in this other Chappelle thread based at least partially on the following from Dave’s IMDB bio:
And the more I think about it, the more it just seems to fit.
HOLY SHIT! That happened to Dave too?! I thought I had dreamed it!
Meh. Who hasn’t?
Where do you get schitzophrenic writings to collect?
-FrL-
It’s very interesting, but even if it were true, the part about Dave’s credit crads being rejected until he gets a phone call was a bit much.
I take care to let people know that I collect them, and they bring/send them to me. It’s a pretty easy hobby, I guess.
It started when one person decided that the place I worked at was their “drop.” Letters would just get pushed through the mail-box. (We had a distinctive-looking, space-aged building.) You’d be surprised how frequently people receive bizarre warning or pleading letters (almost invariably with no contact information included.)
