I am not sure if this belongs here or in IMHO but anyway… For those who don’t know the raingutter regatta is similer to the Pinewood derby except you use a small balsawood sailboat and propel it down a length of raingutter by blowing into the sail.
I did a google search and found all kinds of tips for building catamarans and hydroplanes :rolleyes:, way more complicated than what I was looking for. I just want to use the basic kit ( http://www.raingutter-regatta.com/5470.jpg ) to help my son make a decent boat. From the sites I looked at common problems with the basic boat are it’s top heavy and it wants to turn and crash into the edge of the raingutter.
