Imo, the reason it is horrible to the point of funny is because of a near perfect intersection of a disastrously created universe (magnified by the brilliance of the original), stilted and hyperbolic dialog and Cages’ inability to bring life to the character. So much about Cage was awkward; his hair, his overacting, his lack of chemistry with the rest of the cast.
Given the talent involved and the expectations, it might be the worst movie ever.
Has anyone seen both and can tell me: *was *it worse?

I enjoy ridiculously bad movies, but this movie was just plain bad. This is coming from a fan of Nickolas Cage.
The way the title was phrased, I thought this was going to be about a sequel.
