Johnny Depp, for the sense of humor. (No, really. Wino forever? It cracks me up every time I think about it.) Also, yes, he’s stunningly hot.
Monica Bellucci. Just… sigh… because. It’s purely a looks thing. I’m so shallow. But she has perfect thighs.
Richard E. Grant because he plays a sarcastic arrogant bastard so very, very well, and it’s a pity he’s too old for me. (Er, all other considerations aside!)
I typically do not find redheads attractive and I think Alysson Hannigan might be the first natural one I’ve ever really fallen for so it wasn’t her looks that drew me in, it was her character’s personality and, as you said, you can’t go wrong with it. Well, except for when she shows she has some inherent stability issues later in the series but even that’s endearing if for no other reason than her pupils get all super-dilated and, um, wow… incredibly sexy.
I think what really made me realize I loved her so much was when she cried in some episode (I’m still not enough of a fan to remember names or even plot points other than “the one where ____ did ____ and/or ____ had to ____”) and my heart almost broke. I’ve never really been that into a character before and it’s kinda scary.
Also, since I feel bad for overlooking him, I have to include Xander in all this too. He doesn’t make me melt quite as much as Willow but he’s way up there. I’m not sure if you’ve gotten to the episode yet but have you seen the one (see? told you so) where he’s split in two? That one reminds me of myself so much that it’s scary.
And he’s hot too, just in a really dorky, goofy way.
Joaquin Phoenix I’m not sure if it’s the eyes or the sexy scar above his lip or his voice or a combination of all of the above…sigh Yeah, I’ve got it baaaad.
Another Alyson lover here, although she’s number two for me. In the number one spot, Alicia Silverstone. She’s the only reason I own that horrid Batman movie.
These days I don’t develop crushes on celebrities, but in high school, I was sweet on a number of the Twin Peaks girls…Lara Flynn Boyle, Sherilyn Fenn, Madchen Amick, Sheryl Lee…
Teri Garr. And anyone who has known me since the AOL days can attest to that.
(I don’t care. I don’t look as good as I did in 1975, either.)
When considering a younger lady, Minnie Driver has had a place in my flinty little heart since “Circle of Friends” (was that ony ten years ago?) even if she did let herself get all skinny.
lhovis73 mentioned crushes on the “Twin Peaks” babes in his high school days.
Well, I’m a LOT older and I was in the 9th grade in 1965. (LOTS of adoloscent and pubescent hormones kicking in). During 1965, the 3 major TV babes for my friends and myself were Barbara Eden in “I Dream Of Jeannie”, Anne Francis in “Honey West” and Julie Newmar as “Catwoman” in “Batman”. (Ms Newmar was my far and away favorite. Geez what a beautifully trim and lithe body and each onscreen moment was filled with her smoldering sensuality and sexuality.)
Although I think Charlize Theron and Catharine Zeta Jones are the two most beautiful women on the face of the planet, and as much as I hate to agree with Marley23 about anything, if I were going to romantically (or lustfully, take your pick) obsess about a celebrity, it would be Scarlett Johansson. She’s kind of odd-looking, but she really resonates with me in a unique and very appealing way.
Kate Winslet. Jeeeeezus Christ, what a sexy woman. I can’t think of any actress alive who exudes more sex appeal.
But I’d go gay for George Clooney any day of the week. I’m as straight as guy as has ever lived, but George could turn me. I want to be his best friend and live in his house. I want to go to ball games with him and play Scrabble with him and his friends. I want to dress like him and dig through his garbage.
As Katy in “Animal House,” Marion in “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” Jenny in “Starman,” and Claire in “Scrooged,” she embodied that perfect girl-next-door cuteness and sweetness with just enough spunk to let you know that she was probably amazing in bed. She then moved on to becoming MILF-incarnate as “Mom” in “The Sandlot” and as one of the wives in “The Perfect Storm.” Now, at only 54, she’s moving closer to becoming a genuine GMILF.
I once asked a girl out just because she was the spitting image of Karen in looks and personality. We dated for years.
