Anyone running a by-mail D&D game?

This came up last year, but I’m still looking to join a game if anyone is running.

If you’re starting a game or have a slot open in an ongoing game, I’d like a shot. In the past five years I’ve joined two mail campaigns that both died in a week but I’m still interested.

I’ve placed similar messages elsewhere but ifr I come up with nothing here I’ll have to resort to the Wizards boards … and I really don’t want to do that.

They read like a 13-year-old’s text messages.

Anyway, I’d like to join a D&D game played by e-mail. If you have one and are amenable or know someone running a game, I’d appreciate a word. I’m familiar with 1st Ed, 2nd Ed, 3 and 3.5 (so far as I know).

Thanks,

GH

There are three threads here in this very forum, one run by me, one by What Exit? (but I think that’s full) and one by glee. I’m certainly in a position to take on more players if you’re interested.

What Exit?, Malacandra and myself are all pretty old … err … experienced DMs.
As Malacandra says, his thread has an opening and I’m looking for a substitute player.
Here are the Middle Earth, English countryside and Vikings! games.

You know, I did see those threads and that’s kinda what got my hopes up, but I figured they were probably by invite only … etc.

I’ll take a closer look. Appreciate the feedback.

No, not at all! I mean, the Middle Earth one is probably full, but you could pm the DM. The other two are either still open or have slots open.

What Exit? will confirm, but we already have 9 players.

I’ve just got a sub (MHaye), so Vikings! is the most likely.

(In that game, a brave band of Vikings have left their homeland in search of adventure … and found it!)

I think we have 8. But no matter- that was the target.

Gorgon, my game is basically filled, but only one special invite was given.

One player had expressed an interest in playing in my Middle Earth world long before we even had a game room.

I am surprised by how well this is going so far. The players are all good and I have a bonus of the best known fantasy world there is to supply the background, history and maps.

Gah! Confusing! Ok. I think I sent a PM to the wrong person.

Vikings … Malacandra. Sheesh.

Aha! I think I was including Renee (or even Moose  )…

Don’t worry - you’ve got a reply anyway.
