I believe Pride was the only hit we did not get here in Raleigh.
When a band has been around for over 25 years and they only play around 22 songs per night they can’t please everyone.

Ah, I know but it wasn’t just that. I don’t know whether it was the seats where we were sitting or what it was but i didn’t find it emotionally engaging in the least. I paid something approaching $200 for the ticket yet the gig didn’t move me. I was impressed by the stadium, the sheer mass of people, all their cameras flashing etc. but the band just didn’t do much for me. I think though I would have enjoyed the show more had I been near the stage, in amongst the crowd.
You and L went on Monday, right, An Gadai? I knew people who went on Fri/Sat and Sat/Mon. Both said Sat was the best, which was the one I went to.
I also thought that Chicago wasn’t as emotionally involved, but I chalked that up to the Midwesterner reserve.
Still put on a great show, despite the political commentary. And if you look at their website, the playlist really doesn’t change.
With or without you is the must have song.
For me, being in the first 20 rows or so is the only to way see a show anymore. There are too many people who go to concerts “just to be there”–they spend the entire gig talking to the person next to them or phoning their friends. That’s all well and good for them–more power to 'em. But I’m going/spending my $$$ to experience the band and the performance. To have the stage fill my field of vision and the music fill my ears, that’s the ideal for me.
