Apparently they must’ve gotten tired of being rained on (I know it rained like crazy when they played TCF Stadium here - I was there) and are looking at indoor venues this time around.
Been waiting for this. I saw them for the first time at that TCF show and plan to see them twice on this tour (now that I have money again). We’ll see where they play, so I can hopefully plan a fun vacation around one of the shows.
I’ve heard they put on a great concert and last year, I began listening to their albums and was surprised to find I rather like them. I wouldn’t mind seeing them.
Kind of a downer, aren’t you? More or less a threadshit, I think. Very unnecessary.
I saw U2 in 1992 on the Zoo TV tour at Legion Field in Birmingham, AL. Great concert. The opening acts were Public Enemy and Big Audio Dynamite. U2 was always one of my favorite bands going back to around 1983 when I was 14, but I haven’t really kept track of them in recent years.
rn4j0r, if you don’t like U2, that’s fine – but don’t come into a thread about their upcoming concerts to announce that fact. It’s damned close to threadshitting – telling people that they’re morons for having the conversation they’re having – which is against the rules here.
I have to say the funniest bit at the TCF show was when Bono was walking along the circular walk way of their set and some woman threw her panties at him. They landed on the edge (note: not The Edge) near his feet. He kinda stopped, cocked his head and looked disgusted, then toed them off the walkway before continuing on.
