Anyone tried BitWine?

I recently heard about BitWine, a site where people can ask experts for advice on a range of topics, for pay, using Skype. On the face of it this looks like a great idea, as I already give a lot of computer advice on sites like Experts Exchange and would appreciate some extra money. I’m concerned that there may not be enough traffic to the site to make it worthwhile. I also don’t know how good the software is and what the overall experience is like.

Has anyone here tried it, either as an Advisor or as a client?

One bump.

It sounds interesting. Thanks for bringing it up - I’ll check it out later.

Thanks, I’m going to check it out too.
What I don’t understand is how you get contacted by clients. Do you have to be near the computer or can they call your cell and then you go to the PC?
If you need to sit by the PC for an hour or two each night I don’t know if it’ll ever pay off unless you’re already sitting near the PC every night.
I briefly scoured the site but didn’t see any specifics regarding contacting advisers, can you link to the page that addresses this?

I found out how you contact your adviser. You simply schedule a time on the calendar interface and the two of you agree to meet at that time.
From the couple of advisers I checked out that related to my field, neither had any feedback yet, so they either haven’t had any chats yet (likely, which means no payments so far) or the clients didn’t leave a feedback (unlikely).
I couldn’t tell how long the advisers had been on BitWine so I don’t know how long they’ve been waiting for clients.
Also, BitWine seems like a foofy name to be calling something of this sort. I would have chosen a more content/service related name. Absolutely no-one will end up here by accident. (like if I did a search for computer problems and BitWine came up as a search result I’d wave it off as not being relevant…“What does wine have to do with my computer problem?”)
