This is similar to what I do. They are tasty and disappear quickly. But frankly, not as good as a deep fryer. My goal is for equivalence.
Agreed! I learned that the hard way.
We recently bought a toaster oven style air fryer (the smaller Breville). The basket is stainless steel. I spray it with some oil before putting food on and chuck it in the dish washer after it’s been used.
As said, I only bought it recently but no issues with that procedure yet.
I have no significant problem cleaning the air fryer that’s used in my household. It is annoying to have to clean it after every use, and other cooking methods leave less of mess to cleanup, but there are drawbacks to most methods of cooking that one deals with because of the quality of the resulting food. Getting the two parts of the basket apart is sometimes difficult, which is a problem in some sense, but not significant. There’s tons of grease to cleanup, but that’s why there’s soap.
