I’ve been thinking recently about selling some of my photos. I’ve been shooting for a long time, and have a huge collection of pictures. I have quite a bit of expensive equipment, and figure it’s time I started making some money with it. I haven’t had any photography training, but I did major in art at university, so I know somethingabout composition, etc.
Anyways, in my searches I have come across several on-line places that sell digital photos. The most prominent of these seems to be shutterpoint. I’ve read all their FAQs and cruised around a bit, but I’m still not quite sure what their game is. I’m the suspicious type by nature, and something about this says scam to me, although I don’t see any real reason to think that. There are certainly lots of other photographers there, so there must be something to it. Apart from anything else, it would be nice to get comments from other people who know more about the art form than I do.
I wonder if any of the Dopers have used this service, or one like it? Are they on the up and up?
