Anyone used the new planter bags or fabric root pots yet?

I’ve just started seeing these on gardening sites. Some places call them planter bags.
Walmart has a tomato planter bag
Home Depot calls them fabric root pots has a 5 pack for $22

Must be a new product. They aren’t stocking them in the stores. Requires an online order. That’s a nuisance.

Is this a better mousetrap? Anyone tried these yet? Home Depot’s description says they let the roots breath better.

I’m tempted to order a couple of those tomato bags from Walmart or Amazon. Amazon has a better price.

I’m wondering how well they’d hold up.

Any thoughts or opinions?

Weed growers have been using those for years–if you have a local “indoor gardening” shop you’re likely to find not only a better price but a variety of sizes from 1 gallon up to 20 gallons. They’re not bad and the washability factor is nice but the fabric ones allow the soil to dry out pretty significantly.
