I’ve decided to abandon the ad spot I had on my website because nobody ever bought the product that was for sale there. I figured why not give the spot to friends and acquaintances? It can be a banner or a text links with a description. It can be for your own website or for your own product, but please don’t give me your adsense code or something like that. I want this to be more personal than that. In exchange I’d ask you to put a link to my site on yours. A text link would be fine but I’ll make up some buttons/banners today in case you wanted something graphical.
The site gets about 3,000 visitors per month so it’s not like you’ll achieve fame and fortune overnight, but it’s exposure, and every link back does help your Google rankings. The link would appear on over 300 pages within my site.
The other proposal I had was if anyone wanted me to put a text link to their site on my virtual-bubblewrap page which gets from 25,000-35,000 visitors per month and really does help to boost traffic to other sites (it has a proven track record of this). I will review these links, however, and only accept the ones I think my visitors would like, so if you have a site that’s geared toward entertainment or humor that would be perfect, but whatever you have I’ll look at it. I’m just in a generous mood at the moment. Normally I charge for ads on that site. Note: the link wouldn’t be up indefinitely. Probably for a month or two then I’d switch to someone else.

I have a modest little humor/life blog that I would love to see get a little more exposure than just my Facebook friends and a few people wanting to research an obscure painting I once wrote about. Is that what you’re talking about? I can’t see you getting much traffic from me, but I’d be thrilled to advertise your bubble-wrap site. My only “ad” is a badge I run for Doctors without Borders.
