Anyone watching Christopher Kimball's "Milk Street"

Me too to.

I watched a couple installments of Milk Street, blech.

Cook’s country/ATK were good ensemble shows, but while I still like the equipment reviews (but not that gadget girl, she’s annoying as hell) Julia and Whatserface have become, well, it’s almost as if they are trying to channel Chris some times. The taste test segment is still sorta vaguely interesting in a bland maybe kind of way.

I’ve gotten over it and moved on to Simply Ming for my food porn needs.

Back when he was on the other show, I noted that “the host (Kimball) makes Don Knotts look manly…”

I’m a big fan of ATK and Cook’s Country. I watch them on Youtube. I knew CK had a new magazine (I got a free copy of the first issue, and later signed up for a $1 deal for digital content, but haven’t used it much yet), and even caught a bit of the Milk Street podcast, but I didn’t realize there was a show, too. Duh, I should have guessed. Where can I watch it? I’m guessing it isn’t on Youtube. (Come to think of it, there aren’t any old episodes of ATK and CC with Kimball on Youtube, just the newer ones with Bridget and Julia.)

Also, does anybody know why he left the original show? I read they couldn’t agree to terms of a new contract. But what were the details? Did he just ask for too much money? Did the producers want him to step back and take a less prominent role?

On their web site, they have a station locator:
https://www.177milkstreet.com/tv/stations

Here in Chicago, it’s shown on one of the main PBS station’s secondary digital channels, and the PBS station in northwest Indiana (which also gets carried on Chicago cable systems).

That article suggests that Kimball was, if not being forced out of ATK, at least losing significant control over the company which he had founded.

It also appears that, at the point at which he left ATK, he was already at work developing Milk Street (a fact which wound up being part of a lawsuit filed against him by the ATK people).

I know this is an old thread, but no one mentioned what I’m about to. The show has a terribly washed-out look to it. I guess that would amount to over- or under-exposure or too much lighting, perhaps- has anyone else noticed this? Also, they seem to be using that mid-90s slow frame rate that gives a jerky effect to the casts’ motions. I really don’t think the washed-out look and the weird frame rate add anything to the show and really are fairly annoying.
