Just caught the first two episodes on Hulu.
I’m a huge fan of Marc Maron’s standup and his podcast, but the show so far is only so-so. Acting isn’t really his strong suit, and I believe he has admitted it. But, then again, Jerry Seinfeld was a terrible actor.
I think it’s great he’s getting his Louis C.K. style opportunity, but I don’t know if it will work out. Of course, I don’t think I could listen to Louis C.K. hour after hour like I do Maron.

I like it. I’m a fan of Maron going all the way back to him hosting Short Attention Span Theater in the early 90s and I think this show is decently entertaining, though nowhere near the level of Louie or Curb of course.
I’m afraid this is going to get the label of “Maron tried to do Louie and failed.”
I only saw the premiere, and I thought it was really, really funny. I look forward to watching more; can’t say I’m too hopeful of there being a big commercial success here, though.
