This documentary on AppleTV directly addresses the area in which I have worked just about my entire career. Just wondered if any of you are watching and, if so, what you think?
$550 million? Why wasn’t this a bigger story?
But then again, I live not far from Dixon, Illinois, who had a city employee steal more than $50 million from a city of 30,000 over the years, in plain sight. Incredibly, she did not serve her full sentence, and is out.
Yeah - just saw there is a petition to have her return to serve more of her sentence. THAT was amazing.
Funny - because it was a HUGE story for the past 10+ years in my shop and others nationwide. I’ll refrain from commenting until others have.
I’m not sure how they are going to come up with that figure of $550 mill, but I assume it is an actuarial extrapolation of lifetime benefits on claims awarded that ought not have been. Would not surprise me if there was considerable inflation. It isn’t as tho the main crooks walked away w/ that amount.
And then there was Puerto Rico… 
It’s not on Netflix yet.
