Anyone work(ed) for Williams-Sonoma?

I think W-S is a lovely store. Always smells good, super merchandise, nice people. So I’ve applied there for part time work, as I currently need a job, and had a good interview today.

Before I start daydreaming of All-Clad and pumpkin-colored spatulas, can anyone tell me about their good or bad experience of working there?

Bueller?

I did a remodel (actually, I was one of the subs; drywall finishing, painting, wood finishing, and the major part of the treatment for their store front) in a local mall for them to open a new store there.

To be honest, the higher ups were so extremely anal and pushy, a bunch of us almost walked off the job.

The store manager, though, was very nice and has been extremely nice every time I shopped there. And that makes a big difference to me. After all, it’s who they put in the public eye that makes their reputation.
