Anything like Samy's Camera in Seattle?

Samy’s Camera is an L.A.-area photo/film/video store that usually has some pretty good prices. I like that they have a good selection of Pelican cases, so I could go in and choose the size I needed without having to guestimate.

Is there a large, discount camera house in the Seattle area? Glaser’s is a couple miles from the office, and I drive by it when I take the car into town. But I’ve never found them to be especially ‘discount’. I use them for film equipment (grip and lighting), but I’d like to find a cheaper place for other things.

I’m not aware of any good “discount” camera stores in Seattle. In fact, Glazer’s is the only camera store in Seattle I will patronize. If I want a better price, I order from B&H or Adorama.

Yeah, Glazer’s is pretty much it. I think all the alternatives are gone now.

Kenmore Cameras is another one, with new and used, and good staff. But not like what you’re looking for.
