Heh, heh, heh. Aaaah. Let me just wipe the tears from my eyes and ask, “what are your sources telling you today?”
I’ve heard very similar things for the last 10 years regarding Stone. Not that I have any sources, or that I believe them, but that’s relatively old news.
it’s my understanding that she’s also a member of mensa, and while I do find her to be tremendously self involved and narcissistic, I don’t know why it’s so hard to believe that she’s smart.
jarbaby
It’s because she’s so pretty. Pretty and smart just don’t go together.
(running as fast as my fat legs will take me)
I got an email today about <snopes topic here>. It must be true, I got an email about it.
Having seen her in interviews, I’m not at all surprised. She seemed to be one smart young woman.
I’m questioning the source, not Sharon Stone. There’s a certain something about the “Internet With Training Wheels” telling me that they know exactly how well this woman scored that I find both humorous and suspect.
Here’s another example, to clarify. I notice that MSN is offering free advice about how to “keep your business thriving in a slow economy.” Why do I suspect that somewhere in there I’ll be advised to keep my software up to date? I’m not going to find out.
BTW, the same silly thing told me that Geena Davis is a member of Mensa. I don’t think it said that about Sharon. And please note that I’m not a member of Mensa, and I use AOL.
Again, THIS IS AOL YOU’RE TRUSTING!!! Not likely to be correct.
Not so young anymore…
Well if you put “Sharon Stone IQ” into Google you get a lot of sites that say she has an IQ of 154, apparently her unauthorized biography says the same thing.
I really don’t understand what you’re getting at SofaKing. At first you seemed to be saying that Sharon Stone couldn’t possibly be that smart. But then you claimed that you were just making fun of AOL.
So to address the first item: what evidence do you have that Stone is either smart or not smart? Are you basing this on the characters she plays, on interviews, or what? The fact that you later chuckled over the claim that Geena Davis is a member of Mensa makes me think that you just have a problem with the idea that an attractive woman can also be smart. Tell me I’m wrong.
On the other hand, if it’s the idea that AOL could possibly get a factoid right that makes you tear up with laughter, then why did you choose these particular facts to ridicule? After all, there seems to be some validity behind them. If AOL had said that - I dunno - Jack Nickolson had an IQ of 100, would that have made you laugh? Am I just not getting the joke?
Isn’t that redundant?
My question would be more why people need to point this out. I know that Geena Davis is a member of Mensa. Now my question is: WHY do I know this? Several “news” sources felt the need to point this out to me, as did Ms. Davis’ publicist apparently. My response is… So?
Heh, heh. Define ‘not so young’…
(It’s all a matter of perspective)

She’s younger than me and I’m still young, so she’s young. But no lady.

You’ve never met Mrs.B. She’s always figured if being on track to winning a Nobel for biochemistry pans out, she’ll resort to being a stripper.
Yeah, she may be smart be she’s also crass for letting it get out. And it’s not like it’s helped her career any.
Well, I read only yesterday that Prince William enjoyed a three-some in a tent in Peru while taking his year out from Uni. The fact that I read it in a tabloid at the paper shop doesn’t detract from my hoping it’s entirely true.

Considering his family’s history, were the other two parties male or female?

If the paper is to be believed, there was only the tent pole and him keeping things up.
An IQ of 154. I’ve heard it myself from several different sources. Then again…Sliver, Sphere, The Quick and the Dead…Just remember that IQ is not an indication of common sense.
