New Guy

IQ> 150. Anyone want to comment to their interest or be a smart a== like most sites I have visited. My interest is science (Stephen Hawkins the most) but anything thought provoking. I have a BS in Biology, Math, Electical Engineering and believe it or not a PHD in nursing Adm I really enjoy intellectual comm.

Thank you for your resume. We’ll get back to you if something opens up in your field.

Almost forgot. Welcome to the board.

You’re in the right place, everybody here has an IQ over at least 175. Just ask them.

Hellooo sailor!

I don’t know, yay? or something?

We have polls to prove it too! Multiple ones!

Did you mean Stephen Hawking?

No, Stephen Hawkins, famous author of “A Brief History of Treasure Islands”.

And did you ever consider, that people might be smart asses (in your opinion) because the first thing you do when you join a board is to tell everyone how smart you are? :dubious: Usually doesn’t go over well, even among people you would consider your ‘peers’. Bragging about how smart you are, is akin to bragging about the length of certain body parts. People are going to be suspect that perhaps, you might not be completely honest.

Hell, my cat has an IQ > 150!

You’ll have to do better than that around here.

How come you can’t string together a decent bunch of sentences? And what is the intellectual necessity of self-censoring the word “ass”

How long were you a girl?

He didn’t say he is smart. He said he has an IQ > 150. I don’t know how much greater but if it is close to 150, that still qualifies for Guest admission but not the higher ranks of our elite circle. It takes an IQ of > 200 and 5 years of excellent posting history to qualify for the rank of Charter Member for example. The best Harv24jg can shoot for is Cub Member after 7 years with an overall average of < .01% spelling errors and < .0025 grammatical errors per post. It is all the same family though.

Who is taking care of Ramrod the goat this week? We are going to need him for the initiation ceremony and be sure to clean his hooves this time so he doesn’t track shit all over the temple rug again.

It took me forever to find out who Stephen Hawkins is because some really famous people have similar names. It turns out he is an Australian rower. That’s cool. This isn’t a heavily sports oriented board but we do have a forum called The Game Room where you can talk about crew or other less followed sports and I am sure a few people will share those interests.

Ok, I’ll bite… Cite?

Here.

You know those groups that aren’t half as clever as they think they are?
Well, we are.

Or here.

I was going to ask my usual questions about hot dogs and ketchup, and corn on the cob, but I see the Welcome Committee has been dispatched and properly engaged here.

Good work everyone, altho I think the OP may have been scared-off.

Harvey, Harvey, Harvey the wonder poster. Hey, Harvey!

So this IQ of yours… is that the WAIS or the Stanford-Binet? Answer carefully. It may affect your eligibility for membership.

Thank you for sharing your interests. Stephen Hawking is cool. My own interests range from social psychology to social justice, but I know a marine biologist, a rocket scientist and an astrophysicist so that has to count for something. Do you like Star Trek? I like Star Trek.

Don’t take the ribbing personally. If you brag openly about your intelligence, you will be made fun of, because we prefer sneak bragging and moral outrage as our main mode of expressing superiority to other posters. That and IQ polls. If you had started a poll this might have gone very differently.
