Apache support

No, not the native american tribe.
Anyone know of some companies that offer support contracts for Apache and Tomcat?

I can’t answer you Howard, but IIRC poster here by name of friedo is pretty knowledgable on Apache. You might want to contact him.

There’s this aerospace company in the UK called Reflectone. They won a support contract late last year. I’m not sure what they did with the contract though. I think the installations of some computer systems.

Yeah, I don’t know of any specific companies (might want to ask in comp.infosystems.www.unix) but if you have a specific question I could probably help you.

Thanks Fiedo; We are trying to talk my boss into using Apache and Tomcat but she wont do it unless we have access to some technical support service. So I am trying to find several vendors to get price quotes for support.
Personally I want to get Oracle IAS but they took one look at the price and went into convulsions.

“comp.infosystems.www.unix”???

I just have to laugh at myself. I read through half this thread before I realized you were talking about unix software and not Apache Gunships & F-14 Tomcats.

“Apache Support.”
“Yea, uh, my gun is jammed and SAM’s are locked on! What do I do?”
“Please hold while I direct your call to someone qualified to answer your question…”
