Against my better judgement I have joined Match.com. Although I have sent emails to seven women, none have responded.
However, I have gotten 3 emails from women in Russia - all of whom are quite attractive.
Appartenly slightly overweight middle-aged programmers are hot in Russia. 
Heh. I had a similar experience on a couple of different services; over 600 messages sent, a bare 12 responses (which worked out to two coffee dates and two standups), and nothing approximating an actual date-type-date. I did, however, get a rather impressive number of unsolicited messages from “Russin bueties with big gazooks, cok you grate meel, hot in sak.” I didn’t know whether to laugh or pity.
What a ufcked up world we live in where the only attention I can get is from English-challenged women halfway across the world.

Actually, one of the women, who sent me pictures, was quite lovely and wrote English rather well. None the less, I thanked her for her interest and wished her well.
Look for the money angle. If it’s not apparent, it soon will be.
Ah. Now my charms also reach to S. Africa. Who know I could be hot in so many countries other than my own.

I don’t think it’s money so much as the desire to come to the U.S. While that will involve some money, I just don’t believe that’s the key motivation.

A guy at the office just got scammed for airline ticket money. Apparently he failed to check the mail order bride blacklist before the wired the cash.
