I now have the mental image of Bricker sparking a doob and listening to Kinky Friedman and the Texas Jewboys Get yer biscuits in the oven and yer buns in bed!
Made my day. Thanks!

I suppose that to holders of a certain absolutist 2nd Amendment viewpoint, the right time WAS back in the 18th century, when the inclusion of the amendment was being discussed (the conclusion being that gun control and further discussions of gun control would be forever forbidden).
I know I am late to this thread, but as a left leaning, Hillary voting, occasional country music listener, I am glad this bitch was fired.
You most definitely are misunderstanding me.
Then what was your point about the name?
Sure. Curt Schilling was fired one day after his Facebook post reply (which was WAY less offensive than the CBS lawyer’s tweet).
Jeffrey Lord was fired some hours after his sarcastic tweet. Which was WAY less offensive than the CBS lawyer’s tweet.
Breitbart news editor was fired next Monday after her weekend tweets.
One of the more disturbing ones I remember reading was one poster thought every Trump voter deserves to be “frog marched” and shot in the head.
That was Siam Sam here:
On the plus side, he did make frog marching option #2.
It would probably be more along the lines of - and I’m just guessing - “n****r thugs gunned down in gang battle, and most likely deserved it”
That is the pattern after all. Rinse and repeat.
The jewish kids in high school used to look down upon me. I’m still bitter about it.
Actually no, that’s a lie. I’m not really still bitter about that, I’ve got so many other things I’m bitter about that I can’t even remember their names any more. I can’t even remember why I’m bitter. Am I still bitter? Do I just need a snack? Is this normally what happens when you reach middle age?
Trump. electing and supporting him. Still, terrible thing to say, and terrible way to think.
Our boffins tell us that, yes, indeed, that asteroid is going right through the center of the Earth, and we are totally boned, with infinitely extreme prejudice. Republican leaders will advance onto the microphones and say “OK, now is the appropriate time to talk about gun control policy!”. And the thanks of a grateful nation…
Fair enough, but keep in mind that was not his first offense. He was already on the ropes for previous vile tweets.
Another guy already on the edge of being fired when fired. But OK.

The same Breibart that had Milo “resign” after several days after he finally shot himself in the foot with his babyfucker bragging?
Meanwhile we’ve seen dozens of GOP reps stay in power or take forever to leave their jobs after saying all kinds of vile crap in the SRIOTD thread.
I’m not quite sure I’ve got multi-quote working right here, but here’s a selection of what followed Siam Sam’s frog-marching comment. He was called on it. It did not go un-remarked. There may be other hateful comments from liberal posters that did, but this one was rebuffed strongly.
What a swell Party it is.
Well, am right there with you and Grrr! on the outrage. That was completely uncalled for, and I will state for the record that absolutely no one should be imprisoned, nor frog-marched outside and shot at dawn, just for voting for Trump.
Smacked across the back of the head a couple times, maybe.
Now, now, violence is not a solution. The most effective punishment for supporting this fiasco should be to have the supporters relieved of their pistols, rifles and any bows they might have. Their reckless disregard for America does not quite rise to the level of a capital crime, but it is clearly felonious.
What hardly anyone noticed is how, in the hours immediately following the massacre in Vegas, right wing trolls falsely accused the ex husband of the shooter’s partner and used his anti-Trump social media posts as evidence that this was anti-conservative politically motivated terrorism. It went away once they realized he wasn’t the trigger man and that it was just some whacked out millionaire sociopath, but it won’t keep them from trying in the future. And don’t think this president and this congress are above trying to pass sedition laws, or variants thereof.
