This has to be seen to be believed.
Pitting her against what?
This is the BBQ pit. You come in here to “pit” people.
I was going to start a thread called “Town Hall Hodgepodge of Atrocities” to just document all the crazy shit that happens at Town Halls from here on out (because really, having one thread for each one is going to fill up the Pit in 2 weeks) and this was going to be my OP. I felt SO bad for that poor guy.
Oh, dur, I thought you misspelled pitying.
I’d like to know more about her. From the looks of her, she’s not an actual neo-nazi or something. She’s just been so brainwashed by this healthcare clusterfuck that she thinks it’d be a good idea to insult an Israelite with a reference to hitler. Because, y’know… hitler.
She makes it even worse by mocking him at the end with the crying motions. I almost wonder if she’s mentally ill.
Every Israeli citizen is required to perform at least a year of military service. Most, if not all of them, are taught krav maga, believed to be one of the most lethal and efficient fighting systems. I wouldn’t screw around with an Israeli even if I thought I should.
I hope when she dies her last decade was spent penniless, friendless, and suffering from some painful terminal disease.
Godwinizing a town hall meeting to get home early to see herself on Fox News = NAZI FAIL.
Nuts is her political party.
And that it was labeled a pre-existing condition.
And they charge her $8,000 - a day!
Maybe this thread could be combined with the other, closed one. Since it was closed right after my post, nobody will be able to point out how hypocritical it is for me to call for the death of someone because of their beliefs.
And if she gets home too late, no worries— they’ll be doing a primetime interview with her tomorrow.
In the other thread, she was identified as a Republican douche. Is there evidence of the party affiliation of the aforesaid Nazi douche?
I was going to post this to Scylla in the other thread, but I guess I’ll put it in here.
Here’s a legitimate question. Conservatives on this board are quick to say how we can’t let one bad apple spoil the whole bunch, that these nuts going off at town halls are isolated pockets of idiocy.
What I wonder is, how many of these stories have to come out before you start to believe that this is a widespread problem, and that intelligent and thoughtful conservatism is a dying breed? For the conservatives on this board–do you think that people like you are a minority in your party? Or are you the majority, and just not getting the media coverage that these loudmouthed racist assholes do? If people like you are the majority, do you appreciate the tactics of the vocal minority (seeing as they seem to be working), or do you loathe the fact that the argument is not being won by persuasive debate but rather fearmongering soundbites with a side of screaming gibberish? If you’re the minority, what are your feelings about the hijacking of your party by these knuckledragging cretins?
Maybe she will be the new Joe the Plumber? On second thought, no. Even Joe would have more sense than that (I think).
They will fall all over themselves to renounce, denounce and condemn.
Bringing a gun to a rally you can defend because they’re just exercising their American rights, heritage patriots etcetc.
Yelling at the congressmen you can defend because they’re just really passionate about healthcare issues.
But there is absolutely no way to defend “heil hitler.” Absolutely none. “Well, she was just… the first amendment grants us… what she meant to say was… ah damn it.”
This woman may have found the line that conservatives at large won’t cross to defend someone.
WAIT. HOLD THE PRESSES.
It just occurred to me that we have completely misunderstood this woman.
She wasn’t accusing the Israeli of being a hitler-lover - she was expressing her own weltanschauung.
The hell of it is that he seems such a nice reasonable intelligent guy trying genuinely to communicate, and he engaged her with respect even after the comment.
If it turns out she tourette’s I guess we’ll have to reevaluate, but I’m not holding my breath. :dubious:
