Let me cut to the problem.

This is a new install.

I can only consistently connect to my Airport Base station within 4 feet. If I’m sitting on the couch (10 feet away) it will sometimes connect, but if I slid two feet over I lose the connection.

I can stand 7 feet away, but if I turn around in the same spot, I lose the connection.

I have a cordless phone, but if it’s unplugged, it makes no difference.

I’ve done the reset button, but it doesn’t make a difference.

I"m on an iBook.

But I CAN get connectivity, just not over 9 feet away.

I live in a residential neighborhood, no huge antenaes, no microwave dishes, etc.

Any thoughts?

Solved. The antenae connection had come loose since the Aircard install.
