Apple Photo Stream. I don't get it.

So, I took a pic today on my iPhone, and when I got home tried to call it up on my Photo Stream. No such luck. I kept thinking, WTF? Then I did a little research and apparently, you can only have 1,000 pics in your Photo Stream.

Well, aside from the fact that I only have 603 pics, I’m thinking WTF? One cannot, as I understand it, delete pics from the Photo Stream (I tried, and was shocked to find you can’t). So, what is one supposed to do? How does one easily get pics from the phone onto the computer, and what the F good is Photo Stream if it gets “used up” after 1,000 pics (or, in my case 603)?

A quick google says you can indeed delete photos from the stream.

Thanks, but doesn’t work. Says you need version 9.2.2 on the Mac. I have 9.2 and when I ask for updates, it says I have the latest version. I’ve deleted photos from my phone, but they don’t get deleted from my Mac.

And what’s up with the 603 photo limit on my Macbook, when it’s supposed to be 1,000?

My quick google search only came up with people complaining about this.

Maybe it’s my Macbook’s OS that is the problem. I’m running version 10.8.3.
