Not sure if this would be an option for davidm, but I could have written the OP myself a few years ago. How I decided to handle it: The job itself remains on the resume, but the supervisor listed is the one I had before the asshole took over (whom I actually liked).
Phone number is the main switchboard of a nationwide company with 18,000 employees.
As far as I know, nobody tried to contact either of them, and it never came up in any interviews.
