Every so often I run across a sentence or two here that I really like to read again two or three times, to savor the diction and flow. This thread is for that, and here is my first:
This is not an extraordinary sentence. It just expresses its meaning with economy and grace.
Please post any of these sentences (or two) you find. Please, just a sentence or two. I know we have some here who are well known for long raucously funny stories, but those kinds of posts are already celebrated elsewhere.
My favorite goes way back to a September 2006 post from @Slithy_Tove bemoaning the revival of zippered sweaters.

It’s not original to me; I tried to find who first said it here, but all I found was me repeating it:

I can’t find it but @dropzone said to me, on the board…“You need to shut your mouth, now!”
He was very right.
I’ve found this quote one of many by @Little_Nemo worthy of remembering.
