IS a special pen required, or can I just use a standard writing implement?
Kind of a dumb question I know, but still.
Millions of people all over the world write Arabic just fine with pencils, ballpoint pens, and other standard writing implements, so you don’t have to invest in a special pen.
If you want to learn Islamic calligraphy (a very complex art form that takes decades to master), that’s a different matter, but it doesn’t sound as though any special equipment is required for what you’re trying to do.
Awesome. I figured as such, but the Linguaphone manual shows the person writing with a rather unusual pen.
