Surprising that they didn’t add 8 counts of abusing a corpse, but there’s still time to tack that on.
He’s 62, so were looking at 25, maybe 30 years before dying?
ETA, looking around online, it seems that he may be a lot closer to completing his life sentence than I realized. One cite was that the average death age for lifers was 64.
But that average is going to include a bunch of people who have spent 40 years in prison, eating a prison diet, getting prison medical care, etc. Might not be all that relevant to someone who enters prison at 62.
Agree completely. That stat isn’t about folks entering prison at 62.
Heck, from the looks of that guy, they could forget to feed him entirely and it still might take him a year or more to starve.
Not that such barbarity should be done. Even to him. But of all the problems that might kill him in the next few years, I doubt inadequate prison food will be in the running.
And prior to that, grew up in substandard housing, had inadequate food and medical care, etc.
Indeed. 3 years in jail. I guess three squares and a cot includes an all-you-can-eat buffet. But very bad haircuts.
