Recently I learned that Rex Heuermann has yet to go to trial

I just watched the new Netflix 3 part series: *Gone Girls* : The Long Island Serial Killer. And I was shocked to learn that Rex has yet to stand trial for his crimes. Maybe it’s me getting old an not processing time well but I thought all of this was in the past.

Checking though, it looks like the last thread on this was back in 2011.Anyway, it a fascinating documentary. And one of the strange things about the case is that the woman who went missing in 2010 and started it all, Shannan Gilbert, has yet to be linked to the case.

I feel bad for the victims and their families and the police corruption is sickening.

As usual my search skills are lacking, none-the-less, the doc sheds a lot of new information, or at least encompasses a wide scope of not only the crimes and victims but also the (intentionally?) bungled investigation.
