Given that today is the first anniversary of the Charlie Hebdo massacre (the perpetrators of which were in no way motivated by their religious beliefs and shame on you for even thinking otherwise), I believe now is as good a time as any to share this penetrating article from America’s Finest News Source:
That’s anniversary. That’s what comes of typing one handed (because the other is holding a cat) when my internet browser is acting up so the spell-check and cursor aren’t working.
I’m happy for him to pick pretty much any date he likes to be honest. Just as long as he can explain why our definition of terrorism doesn’t include the people we kill in their countries.
For example:
"Hussain was a deputy commander of the Pakistani Taliban, a militant group aligned with al-Qaida that trained the would-be Times Square bomber, Faisal Shahzad, before his unsuccessful 2010 attack. The drones first came for Hussain years before, on 29 January 2008. Then they came on 23 June 2009, 15 January 2010, 2 October 2010 and 7 October 2010.
Finally, on 15 October 2010, Hellfire missiles fired from a Predator or Reaper drone killed Hussain, the Pakistani Taliban later confirmed. For the death of a man whom practically no American can name, the US killed 128 people, 13 of them children, none of whom it meant to harm. "
Waddya say Astorian, terrorism or not?
And that Iraqi death count. What say you - ok for us to kill tens of thousand, because we’re doing it for freedom?
What people? Some Muslims are murderous assholes, but most Muslims are peaceful people who have no interest in violence. Sure, if we kill enough of them, they’ll all start to hate us… but that sounds like it would do incredible danger to America, considering that there are over a billion of them.
In order to keep America strong and safe, we should try not to kill peaceful civilians since that would probably make billions have justifiable hatred for us.
It’s always true that a minority of any group are malefactors, but they are particularly deadly in the way they go about it. A civilized First World society cannot coexist with a group of people at war with it. Even if many of them object on religious grounds to America’s support of Israel for example they’ll have to live with it. Many on here oppose the Iraq war effort. That does not justify a random slaughter of U.S. civilians.
The Muslims are going to have to find a way to coexist with us. Not the other way around.
Not that this matters, but you guys do realize that not all nuns wear a habit (which is the entire attire, not just the head covering)
And they are allowed to take them off, some do not even wear them at all.
I’ve seen many nuns wearing nothing special per say at all, they just dress very plain and modest.
It all depends on what organization the nun belongs to, and where she works etc.
For what it’s worth, God saw fit not to design any clothes at all, he made you one suit that always fits, is easy to wash, and for the most part never wears out, and is always in style.
The evil guy over in the corner, yea him, he invented the need for clothes?
Got news for you. Not all Muslim females wear any kind of head covering (except rain hats, etc.) either.
It all depends on the culture to which the particular Muslim female is part of.
Yep. I’ve been on the beach in a majority Muslim country, and seen women I know to be believing and practicing Muslims, on the beach. Some of them (the women, not the beaches, heh) were even wearing bikinis.
Trump has seen what has happened to Europe and (like many people) doesn’t want the same happening to the USA. Take England for example, the Muslim population is rising rapidly.
I’m pretty sure he’s referring to the (stupid) conspiracy theory that Muslims take over countries by first immigrating, and then having lots of children until they eventually become a majority in whatever country they’re supposedly “taking over.”.
