I always use a long stick or piece of string to play with my cat. Whenever I stick the string in front of him, he always trys to grab it with his right front paw. Same thing with the stick, or just about anything else out of reach of him. He’ll just try to grab it with his right front paw. That got me wondering…
Are animals naturally right-handed or right-pawed?

Many animals do have a preference for using their left- or right- paw.
Cecil covered this topic in Is there such a thing as a left-handed cat? In the study of cats that Cecil reviews, about 43% had no preference, 38% were left-pawed and only 19% right-pawed.
The fact that you apparently own a rare “right-pawed cat” might be a good conversation starter. Or maybe, when he is acting out-of-line, you could threaten him with something like “you know, I hear right-pawed cats are going for a premium on ebay…”
