Are any "adorable baby photo" contests worth it?

This past weekend, I accidentally (I’m far from a photographer) snapped an amazing photo of Boy 2.0 Seriously, seriously adorable IIDSSM. I’d like to enter it in some sort of baby photo contest, but I’m not sure which ones are quality, worthwhile contests, and which are “You enter this photo and it’s ours FOREVER to use FOREVER and HOWEVER we want!!! And oh, yeah, there is a very, very remote change you could win something, but almost certainly not. But your photo is OURS!” It seems like the Gerber Generation photo contest is about them getting free cute baby pics to use as they want, with the dangling carrot of a single $25,000 scholarship awarded to one selected child.

Additionally, the Gerber contest–like many–has that annoying online voting system to select the monthly winners (the grand prize winner is selected by judges), and I don’t want to resort to emails and Facebook posts saying “Please vote for my baby today!” “Don’t forget to vote for my baby today!” --etc.

Anything out there worth uploading the pic to? Am I being too hard on Gerber?

Back when I entered my adorable baby daughter in an adorable baby photo contest, I paused to read all the fine print. It said the one dozen finalists would be chosen at random from all the entries, and then they would be voted on.

Check the rules. Unless they specifically say that all entries will be voted on, or that finalists will be judged (not merely selected) from all entries, Boy 2.0 has a better chance playing the roulette tables in Vegas.

This thread is worthless without pics.

That sounds plausible. The feeling for people who cast babies in commercials is that all babies are cute. I suspect the same goes for photo contest judges.
