Well, according to their “About Us” page, they serve “a namesake English style IPA that we contract brew with Turtle Mountain Brewing Company*.” I haven’t tried it, I’m not a fan of IPAs.
*Turtle Mountain brews some fine beer. They’re located just down the street from the Fat Squirrel.
Bosda may have a point. What with this and the flying squirrels in hospitals this may be the first wave of The Squirrelpocalypse. Those of us with dogs will survive a little longer than the rest of you.
I knew a cute girl in college…we were starting to get along and move in a more romantic direction and it all came to a dead halt, because she asked me how my trip to Boston was, and I responded that the “squirrels were really fat.” I got a dirty look and cold shoulder from that point on.
I found out months later that she thought I had said “the girls were really fat” and she did not want to date an asshole who would say something like that.
Similar story (irrelevant to the OP), but I knew a nice cute very conservative girl in college…we were starting to get along and move in a more romantic direction, and it all came to a dead halt when I ran into her in the the courtyard one night and she asked me what I had been doing. I told her I was writing my paper for Advanced Exposition, which I found out weeks later she heard as “Advanced Sex Position.”

I have been to Canada but did not notice the squirrels. I assumed they just got bigger in the winter (which we effectively do no have here in Florida) -I can’t quite imagine rodents that big!
It’s funny the OP mentioned this. I just thought to myself the other day that the squirrel I saw running along the side of my building looked fatter than I’m used to seeing. Seemed still quite agile, though. The little bugger ran along a ledge and all the windowsills for length of the walkway I was taking, stopping and waiting for me while eating a nut he was carrying. Then continued to run around the corner to the end of the ledge, threw the shell of the nut he had been eating at me, and then leaped over my head into the tree across the sidewalk.
