The past three or four days on my commute have had me constantly flipping the radio stations around – and I hate that, I hate riding with people who do that, and I hate myself for doing that. But none of the music being played was catching my attention. This happens to me occassionally and got me wondering if record labels try to release new music around “hot selling” parts of the year. Movie studios do that, lining up big offerings for the summer and Thanksgiving through Christmas seasons.
So what’s the dope? Are there just down times for music being released? Or am I just experiencing some sort of listener restlessness?
