Are my eyes deceiving me? Kangaroos whack off?

Please refer to this YouTube clip, 0:50 seconds in.

I don’t know which of my two questions in the end is more interesting/important to me.

What clip would that be?

I’m fairly certain a lot of animals find ways to masturbate.

:smack: Kangaroo fapping

Kangaroos (and T-Rexes too) will do a whole lot more of that as soon as they develop hands with opposable thumbs, which they are working on developing just as fast as they can.

I don’t see anything that indicates the kangaroo is doing anything other than scratching itself.

It’s not impossible it’s playing with its genitalia, but it’s not even clear the animal is male.

They sell quite a bit of kangaroo scrotum in Australia as little purses. I have been told the purses with scratch marks are due to roos scratching at kangaroo ticks.

I thought I had missed the memo on marsupial thumbs.

They wouldn’t need thumbs as long as their fingers were long enough to wrap around, would they?

That’s why I thought an answer to the “Are my eyes deceiving me” part of the header would be somewhat revelatory as to my state of mind.

Actually, you just reminded me of a punchline to a joke I can’t remember. Off to that thread…

Never seen em jerkin’, but Wallabys will suck themselves off. Thats something you can’t un-see.

And thier filthy little winkies bend like fingers!

There’s a video on (well, it used to be. Not sure if it’s still there, haven’t got time to google it.) of a walrus fellating itself.

Well, not really ‘eek’, more like ‘jealous’.

D&R

Yes kangaroos do whack off. That is why we shoot them.

I don’t know if they masturbate, butkangaroos are a randy lot.

I found it… I don’t know if this is considered NSFW or not.

Since it’s an animal, I’m just going to post the link. If the mods think it’s too racy, would y’all please fix it.

Male horses do, and they have a lot less manipulatory limbs. So I don’t see why kangaroos wouldn’t, too.

“Extremely carefully.”

Oh, wrong thread.

So how do they?
Also now I know a walrus can blow itself. Thanks JBDivmstr!

You’re welcome Leo.

I don’t know about you, but watching that causes a variety of emotions…

amazed, amusement, disgust… envy.

Nature always is so amazing. Thanks!
