As per the title: Malice, bring it down, revenge, whichever. Is that why it’s slow & offline lately?
I know this may be a topic that should not be. So if it’s a sore point close it down. Don’t mind.
If nobody is, this is a unique website.
As anyone who runs a website can surely tell you, this is a continuing problem for most everyone in cyberspace; there’s always someone with some idle time and a desire to mess with someone else’s stuff online.
I doubt Jerry will want to discuss this in any detail, though. 
The occasional slow response is not new. As for going offline (and the problem with subscriptions), my non-expert speculation is that that could be connected with the recent addition of banner ads for non-members. It’s not unusual that problems occur when something changes.
I assumed that it going off line all the time was because they have an all volunteer IT staff using servers that would have been exciting in the early 90s.
