Are there any good Games type magazine subscriptions available?

I really don’t want to contribute to a 6+ year old zombie thread that was recently resurrected about Games magazine; but it did pique my interest in ordering up a subscription to a puzzle magazine or two.

What are the ‘good’ ones that are out there these days? Dell and PennyPress seem to be the big names out there, but surely there is something a little better than that out there, isn’t there?

As noted in that thread, Games World of Puzzles still exists. And the relatively new Will Shortz’s WordPlay seems to have a fairly high quality of variety puzzles.

Nowadays, many good crossword puzzles are being posted online. This page has links to many of them.
