As a quick spinoff of this thread, which of the nationally distributed crossword magazines do you like? I try to pick up one every now and then for those times when I need some diversions. I’ll stick one in my bag if I know I’m going to be in a waiting room, on a flight, or just sick in bed. Yet, they tend to either be too easy or absolutely expert level. Which of the many choices available can best duplicate the typical newspaper puzzle? I’m usually happy with a newspaper puzzle if I can get 90% of the clues within 45 minutes to an hour.
I’m a big fan of Games and Games World of Puzzles. They’re not all crosswords, but a variety of different word and picture puzzles. Quite diverting.
