Frank Ocean’s “Chanel” seems to be about his bisexuality:
Anyone mentioned ‘Nancy Boy’ by Placebo? Was pretty big in the UK in the late '90s; I think they had a few songs with bi themes actually.
(Unless the person in question is ALSO bi- or pan-sexual.)
Surely Queen’s “Bicycle Race” could be interpreted that way?
Billie Joe Armstrong did write this from his point of view about his mental health struggles at the time. The line may be an allusion to his bisexuality.
First of all, he doesn’t seem unsure. I think the “she” in this context refers to his shrink
I went to a shrink
To analyze my dreams
She says it’s lack of sex that’s bringing me down
I went to a whore
He said my life’s a bore
So quit my whining 'cause it’s bringing her down
Second, being unsure doesn’t mean he doesn’t care. (but I don’t think he’s unsure)
Third, a male prostitute would just make him gay, not bi. (Assuming the narrator is a male)
It’s actually about Vince Neil.
In what way? I don’t see it.
Don’t Stop Me Now, though has the lines:
I wanna make a supersonic man out of you
and
I wanna make a supersonic woman of you
