Are there any Welsh stereotypes?

Shaw may not have know this, however.

Was the name by any chance Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch? If so then… its actually really easy to pronounce

I didn’t notice anyone else citing this, so I’ll just leave a pointer to Flanders and Swann, and their song about patriotic prejudice. The Welsh get their hit about the middle of the song.

ETA: Llanfair got a lovely dig in the movie Barbarella, of all places.

ETA: Except to mention that Duffy is both an incredible songstress and awesomely hot.

Here, and I thought it meant "Llanfair; Its that village where Robbie Williams acted disgracefully at the Go-Go".

PS- Congratulations on a 4-time Zombie! I think it way have actually come back from the dead more often than Evil Bruce Campbell in “Army of Darkness”.

These are also common stereotypes of Scottish people. E.g.:

Q: Why do Scotsmen wear kilts?

A: Sheep can hear zippers.

Q: What’s the difference between English music and Scottish music?

A:

A: In England, they sing “Hey, you, get off of my cloud!” In Scotland, they sing “Hey, McCloud, get off of my ewe!”

And was sentenced to penal transportation to Intercourse, Pennsylvania.
