I think it’d looks pretty neat to have black lights over my aquarium, but I’ve never come across any, even using a search engine. Has anyone seen any? Small tubes, 25 watt?
they made a spaceship with a black control panel and black buttons once…
Here’s a thread on a fish fan message board where the majority of opinion seems to be that it’s bad for the fish.
Fishermen apparently like to use 'em, so there are some small, waterproof jobs available.
Well, it seems that they think it would be bad because people would leave them on 24 hours a day. I wouldn’t, even the black light is too much light for me to sleep.
The people who discourse so eloquently in the aforementioned thread themselves seem to have been exposed to a wee bit too much radiation.
Victoria Falls! My eyes! MY EYES!
Pet stores sell black light hoods, for the reptiles. I doubt you would find many fish that would look good with black light. They do sell special bulbs to bring out the colors in your fish though. Don’t put a black light into a fixture not desighned for it. The bulbs give off much for heat and can start a fire.
Ach! My supper was burning, and I didn’t preview. Now for that black pizia. Yum! Yum!
