Yesterday, I was trying to call my roommate on his cell phone, but had forgotten the number. I asked 411, but all they could give me was (our) home phone. Is there a website or somewhere else that lists cell phone numbers?

Speaking as someone who is on day two of having had his home phone disconnected, allow me to say that I hope not.
Seriously, Sua, I think most cell-phone companies treat their customer bases as proprietary and tend to keep those numbers off the usual sites, but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time.
I first ran across this problem when somebody needed me to find a name/address to go with the phone number the had and not only was the number not in the criss-cross directory, the entire exchange wasn’t listed. I suspected immediately that it might be a cell phone number and told the person such.
