I know there are muscle building drugs that have a variety of medical uses, what about drugs to break down muscle tissue?
Example situation: Someone has genetics that predispose them to having large amounts of skeletal muscle (maybe they don’t produce myostatin, I don’t know). They do not use steroids. Even if they haven’t been working out in years, they still have large amounts of skeletal muscle and do not need to exercise to maintain it. Assume that person has health issues due to all that excess skeletal muscle like their heart cannot pump enough blood to match their bulk.
Are there drugs designed to break down skeletal muscle in that situation?
