Are there health risks to buying a used cpap

I have high deductible insurance, so a full sleep study is probably not realistic. I can get an at home test for 200-300,and if I test positive a doc will write a script for an apap. I should test positive, people have commented on my breathing and snoring at night.

on some sites you can get a used apap for half the cost of new. are there health risks of buying used apap machines like infection, or would that not matter since you will buy your own masks and hoses? what happens if the old owner had tb or a lung infection?

I’d check around locally, but yeah, the machines are made to be used by multiple people.
Hopefully it’s been appropriately cleaned.
