OK, I have found this porn site that has all these movies for download. They all follow the same script, sort of, the girl (different girl every week) arrives in this “back room” for an interview, she is answering an ad to be a model. The guy behind the desk basically tells her he’s actually casting for adult modelling and porno movies, tells her she can earn $10,000 a week, talks her into “auditioning” with him, and then at the end always finishes on her face and then rudely tells her to get dressed and leave, while she’s asking what about the job, and he tells her there is no job.
OK, nothing unusual there, any porno film could do that, right?
But here’s the thing, the girls are REALLY believable. Some get into it, others have more of a “do this and get it over with quickly” or even a “close your eyes and think of England” attitude, and they seem really pissed when they “learn” they are scammed.
In fact they are better actresses than actual commercial DVD/VHS releases. If they are acting.
And that is my question. There is NO WAY that someone could really do this, right? I mean, there’d be lawsuits, they would need to have releases signed before they showed the film on the Internet, etc., right? It’s just a little overtly-hostile-to-women fantasy thing going on, right?
Only these chicks are so damn believable I almost want to say that no, if she was that good an actress, she’d be in real movies, not Internet porno.
If you’re asking whether it’s conceivable that this is shot with women subjects genuinely ignorant of the fact that it’s all being taped and that there is no “great” job at the end, the answer is NO, unless the producers are ready to risk spending the rest of their lives in prison. At least not in the United States. I suppose it is conceivable that there is a country where it is not a ciminal offense to defraud, harass, and demand sexual favors in exchange for a job.
What about a kind of “Candid Camera” deal where they tell the woman later, and only use it if she signs a release later? Not a chance, someone would know that she could make way more money suing their asses than they would ever voluntarily pay her. Everybody have American accents? Then the women are pros.
Who’s to say your internet porn isn’t also being sold on DVD/VHS?
I’ll bet that there is probably a “consent” screen that explains the terms and conditions on the content of the website that has verbiage like the following:
How hard is it for just about any woman to get angry on demand? I don’t think that takes much acting talent.
There are many such sites, where the girl is supposedly innocent of the purpose of the camera, and is summarily blown off at the end. E.g., a guy with a boat picks up girls at the docks, invites them out, has his way with them (while getting good photos), then throws them in the water! If this weren’t acting, this guy’d be in serious trouble (assault to attempted murder, depending on how well his victims could or couldn’t swim).
I know the site your talking about and I think that 90% of them are real. Anyone who says otherwise probably hasn’t seen them. I’ve yet to see hollywood writers/actors produce dialog/performances as authentic as those in those videos. Whether or not they’re clued in after the fact is a different story. I don’t think they are - most of these sites are run by college kids who don’t think they’ll ever die let alone get caught in something like this. Ever see BangBus? The only one I ever thought looked inauthentic ended up being a girl who I later found out was a professional “amateur” porn star.
Okay, I haven’t seen the site in question or anything, but one thing I can say is this- Camcorders don’t make high-quality movies. Lighting is pretty obvious. If there are -any- kind of production values on these things, it likely means a good professional set up, which a person would have to be pretty oblivious to miss.
Only these chicks are so damn believable I almost want to say that no, if she was that good an actress, she’d be in real movies, not Internet porno.
Real movies require lots of working time and (to various degrees) the ability to express a range of actions and emotions, often with subtlety. Compare what Meryl Streep and Renee Zellweger do in just one film (let alone all the different films they’ve done) to the formulaic “get laid/get mad” stuff you’ve described. And the thing lasts, what, 10 minutes? Streep could do that in her sleep. Think any of those gals could do one tenth of what Streep does one tenth as well as she does it? I don’t.
Beyond which, regardless of their acting ability, I would think that most porn actresses have social/psychological/legal/pharmacological/etc. obstacles to getting into real movies.
My question, out of a morbid curiosity: do the films mentioned in the OP depict acts that, if real, constitute rape?
In the link provided by Moo the Magic Cow, the description does not, I think, reach the level of rape with respect to the “office” scene. From what the OP describes, it’s at best a breach of contract type thing.
The van thing sounds a bit more complicated, and depending on the circumstances, might constitute rape - again, if real.
If the local DA doesn’t like it, he can prosecute them. Whether he wins or not, it will probably ruin them just the same, due to legal fees, time spent in court, etc. If you’re a DA, you don’t have to win a case to “win.”
I’ve seen these sites too, some are worse than others. Its basically a passive-agressive type thing. Bring them in under false pretenses, bait and switch tatics. In the ones I have seen they manage to talk the girls into the act, no illegal activities, they are paid.
The whole POINT of these things is to present a titilallating rape fantasy where a guy is clearly virile, energetic and in control and the woman is a submissive, fearful sex object who of course complies. There may well be an aspect of real fear in the women’s performances, but ultimately that’s what they are: acting. The rape fantasy doesn’t work without the implied-or-acted-out violence. This type of porn is the most manifestly obvious of the dehumanization and objectification of women.
