As I said, this isn’t a Pitting - but I’m not sure where else to drop it, since it is at elast a very insulting thing that the topic has been raised. I’ve seen in most GD threads that nobody responds to Der Trihs. Is this sort of an unofficial rule? Do we just not want to deal with him anymore?

I think kanicbird is a much better candidate as a “target” of widespread dismissal lately. One of his recent posts annoyed me, as his posts often do, but I passed on commenting on it. I figured that, if he really thought that TRUTH had nothing to do with facts, then why even bother? Why even bother to (try to) remind him that this is the SDMB, and of the fundamental dynamic, raison d’etre, of SDMB?

I’m pretty sure that no one else responded to him in that thread. Maybe I missed some other of his other recent posts, but I can’t recall him getting much feedback at all, lately.

I like Der Trihs, in a sideshow kind of way. He’s an example of one of the posters here who give the place some color.

There are many things Der Trihs says that I agree with, actually. My problem with him is that he’s so boringly depressing. Everything sucks. America sucks. Religion sucks. The world sucks.

After a while it gets to be too much. I look at my one-month-old son, and the world just isn’t that bad.
